A New Brand for Ukrop’s

Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods — the company formed after the sale of the popular chain of Ukrop’s grocery stores — is committed to nourishing families and communities by providing outstanding, homemade foods that bring people together around the table. Elevation recently helped the company name, develop and launch a new brand for its many prepared food options.

Good Meadow Homemades was inspired by the Ukrop’s own history. The family came to the United States from the then-Czechoslovakian village of Dobrá Niva (meaning “Good Meadow”) over 100 years ago, bringing with them a tradition of gathering everyone around the table to share a daily meal.

Elevation created the identity, brand messaging, collateral materials, website, packaging designs, in-store POP displays, and a wide range of other promotional materials to support the launch of the brand. We continue to develop even more promotional items for Good Meadow and Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods as the “new” company continues to grow.

From Disposable To Sustainable

Elevation recently launched a comprehensive campaign to promote MWV’s new MWare line of sustainable foodservice packaging. We not only developed the name for the MWare line of products, but also created a series of high impact dimensional mailers that feature samples of the packaging. These pieces have a call to action to visit the company’s website to view a short video written and produced by Elevation. The campaign also included extensive print and online advertising elements.

Give A Gift That Matters

Capping two years of planning and development, Elevation and The Community Foundation recently launched GiveRichmond.org, a website that provides access to a wealth of information about the region’s nonprofit organizations, while facilitating donations to those organizations. Elevation pioneered the idea of GiveRichmond Giving Cards, which can be purchased through the site and given to friends and loved ones as a gift. The recipient then gets to choose which of over 300 local nonprofits receives the donation.

Elevation created the name and identity for GiveRichmond, as well as a comprehensive advertising campaign consisting of television, outdoor, online and radio ads. View the TV spot below:

Branding Red Amp

When our longtime production partners, Far West Audio, relocated their business to 9WG Studios in downtown Richmond, they asked us to develop a new name and identity for the award-winning studio. Soon after, Red Amp was born. In addition to renaming the company, we developed its logo, business system, and designed the company’s website.

Library of Virginia Identity

In a twist of irony, the Library of Virginia asked us to update their aging logo… not realizing that our own Frank Gilliam created that logo earlier in his career. After pushing aside his momentary feelings of “Man, am I really that old?” he led the Elevation team to creating the new identity, which has been embraced by with enthusiasm by the client.

It recently showed up in an ice sculpture, in full 4-color treatment, no less. We’re not sure we want to know how they did that. But it sure looked cool. (No pun intended.)

CARITAS Identity

CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond Involved To Assure Shelter) was organized in the late 1980s to respond to the unmet need for emergency shelter for homeless adults. More than 170 faith communities work together to provide over 37,000 nights of shelter.

Elevation recently created a new logo, business system and graphic platform for this wonderful organization. Keep an eye out for examples of CARITAS’ new approach to collateral design in the upcoming months.
